Corpus !

Corpus is a computer data which analize all the things that are involve in language. Corpus studies frequency of the words, what the common mistakes in learners are, what words we should learn or teach in our levels and also investigate how the language is changing with the pass of the years.

Also Corpus helps to create textbooks, that means that are based in the stadistics that Corpus gives. For example, dictionaries which are based in corpus are dictionaries that are updated. They have the latest words and idioms and also new meanings of words that years ago didnt even exist.

I believe that it is really important to know about Corpus because, as future teachers, we have to know what kind of vocaulary and grammar strategies we have to teach to our students. In my classes is the same thing because Corpus help me to talk and write in a simple way, with the most common words to make my English easier to understand.

Teachers should been using it because it makes English learning more real and closer to our context, instead of teaching old-fashioned vocabulary, teachers should use Corpus to teach the same English that Northamerican children are learning. Our students and ourselves deserve to be updated with the language that we are acquiring.
