English profile!

English Profile is a project which works with 6 institutions, especially Cambridge. The aim of this project is to make a Reference of the language and make a guide for teachers and learners of English. That is why it is linked with the levels of the Common European Framework which is a guideline to make a reference of the levels of English learners. These projects work togethet to improve our level of English and to make a universal reference about learning English.


To be honest I believe that it is an exiting project, but it is really hard to use it in Chile, because teachers are not interested in change their methodologies and strategies. Maybe id the government tries to adopted in Chile, it would be completely working a lot of years later, because this country is too centralized. Santiago is always more updated of the rest of the regions and it would be hard to make a balance between all the regions of Chile.

I think that these both projects should be incorporated in our education, because it is extremely useful to learn at the same time that the rest of the world. The government says that Chile should be a bilingual country at 2020, well, we all know that with this type of teaching it would be imposible. Maybe this project could make a change, because it tries to improve our English according to our capacities and leves. If teachers start to use these projects like references, it could be useful and really helpful.
